Guatemala Trip - Apply Now!

Librarians Without Borders is now accepting applications from library students and professionals to participate in the 2012 LWB Guatemala Trip.

Applications will be accepted until January 20th, 2012, and participants will be notified by January 31st, 2012. Successful applicants will be asked to submit a $50 deposit to hold their place on the trip, which will be credited to their in-country fee payment.

Trip Details

Participants will travel as a group in Guatemala from May 3 - 13, 2012. During that time they will spend a week working at the Asturias Academy Library in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. Other activities include sight-seeing, cultural visits, and learning activities designed to give participants a comprehensive understanding of libraries, education and culture in Guatemala.

Participants are expected to pay for their own airfare + a $550 in-country fee (covers lodging, food, transportation, and activities while in Guatemala).
