LWB@UBC establishes Take a Stand for Kids blog on behalf of Carroll Airey

The student committee of Librarians Without Borders at UBC is thrilled to announce that the official blog of Take a Stand for Kids (TASK) is now up and running at http://taskproject.wordpress.com.

TASK is a grassroots organization dedicated to youth literacy in the village of Santa Rosa del Peñon, Nicaragua, founded by BC librarian Carroll Airey. Carroll has been the main recipient of LWB@UBC’s fundraising and a close partner for the past year, and they are very proud to have taken this step toward making her work more visible.
